Randall is a 50-year food industry veteran known as the “Dean of Southern Cuisine.” He is a founding board member of the Southern Food Alliance, chair of The Edna Lewis Foundation, and co-author of A Taste of Heritage Cookbook. In 2000, he opened a cooking school in Savannah.
