Louise Thompson

Harlem, New York | 1964

From 1964 to 2008, Thompson ran Louise's Family Restaurant in New York City. Serving pig's feet, black-eyed peas, and candied yams, Louise’s was one of many small family-run eateries that Black Southerners brought to Harlem.
