Norma Jean and Carole Darden

The Darden sisters’ 1994 book, Spoonbread and Strawberry Wine, covered a century of Black culture and family oral history. Norma Jean is the owner of Spoonbread Catering and Miss Mamie’s Spoonbread Too, a restaurant in New York City’s Morningside Heights neighborhood.
