Norma Shirley

Dubbed the “Julia Child of the Caribbean,” Shirley found global success with her restaurants, Norma’s and Norma’s on the Terrace, in Jamaica. She began catering in New York City and opened her first restaurant in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, but returned to Jamaica in the late 1980s.
