Peter Farley Fossett

Peter Farley Fossett was born to Thomas Jefferson’s enslaved cook Edith Hern Fosset at Monticello. He was separated from his family upon Jefferson’s death, but later joined them in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he became a caterer, an Underground Railroad conductor, and pastor.
