Ann Wells

Harlem, New York | 1938

Founded by Ann Wells, the Harlem Supper Club ran from 1938 to 1982. Credited as the restaurant that first combined chicken and waffles on the same plate, it was a post-gig spot for entertainers who could enjoy a meal that was too late for dinner but too early for breakfast.
