Willis Marshall

Chicago, Illinois | 1886

Marshall received a patent in 1886 for improvements to grain binders, agricultural devices that helped harvesters not only cut the crop but packed the stems into bundles. Major farm equipment brands such as McCormick and John Deere still benefit from his innovation today.
