Alfred L. Cralle

Cralle was a porter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned a patent in 1896 for an ice cream scoop that updated the mold and disher machine into a one-handed operation. His design helped keep ice cream from sticking to the scoop and increased the scoop’s durability.
