Annie Laura Squalls

New Orleans, Louisiana | 1960

Squalls was the Pontchartrain Hotel’s head baker for 25 years, where her seven-mile-high-pie with vanilla and chocolate meringue and strawberry ice cream was legendary. A professional cook since 1949, she was featured in Creole Feast: Fifteen Master Chefs of New Orleans.
