Charles Shipley

Baltimore, Maryland | 1900s

Charles Shipley was one of the top Black caterers in Baltimore, Maryland, until his death in 1943. His specialties included country-cured ham and terrapin. He served royalty and government officials. In 1921, he catered a banquet at Delmonico’s in New York to honor Franklin D. Roosevelt.
