Dr. Floyd D. Harris Jr.

Dr. Harris is the CEO and founder of the Fresno Freedom School in the summer of 2015 with 10 founding youth members. Based in Fresno, CA, the school has a six-week summer program full of fun activities for everyone. Their motto is to Educate, Motivate, Energize, Organize & Mobilize and take our youth to a higher level.
Dr. Harris knows grew up in West Fresno, and knows first hand the challenges that young people face in the community where gang activity drug and alcohol abuse and teen parenthood are commonplace. Dr. Harris was inspired by the Freedom School movement in Mississippi, 1964 of the Civil Rights era in where black teachers and youth organized to foster social change.
