Emannuel Cambow (Cumbo)

Cumbo arrived in Jamestown in 1644. Thought to be of the Bantu tribe from Luanda, Angola, he was an indentured servant until he was freed in 1665. In 1667, he owned and farmed 50 acres in James City County.
