J. Bruce Llewellyn and Julius Erving

Entrepreneur Llewellyn and former NBA star Erving became the first Black owners of a soft drink bottling franchise when they purchased Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in 1985. It became a top-ranked Coke franchise and the third-largest African American-owned business in the US.
