Nancy Green

A domestic-turned-brand-ambassador, Green was the first to portray Aunt Jemima. The Chicago family for which she worked took her to audition in 1890. She debuted as Jemima at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, where she sang, cooked pancakes, and rhapsodized about the Old South.
