Richard B. Spikes

Texas | 1909

Spikes was a prolific inventor. In 1909, he patented a keg tapper that forced gas through a port into a pressurized keg, causing the beer to flow out another port with ease. Milwaukee Brewing Company purchased the patent and variations on his design are still in use today.
