Ulysses S. Dearing (Sweets)

Dearing was one of the first major Black restaurateurs in Cleveland, Ohio. His restaurants attracted stars like Joe Louis, Louis Armstrong, and Count Basie. He later opened one of Cleveland's first takeout spots, The Carry Out.
