Yemi Amu

Brooklyn, New York | 1919-Present

Yemi Amu is the Founder and the Farm Manager at Oko Farms Aquaponics Center in Brooklyn.
For the last 10 years, Amu has facilitated the creation and maintenance of more than 20 edible spaces throughout NYC. In addition, she has created and implemented various culinary, nutrition and gardening programs for both youth and adults. Her work promotes aquaponics as a tool for environmental awareness and stewardship.
