Harney is a Brooklyn native, entrepreneur and owner of oyster cart, Mothershuckers. Harney worked as a line cook before getting his start working with oysters as a shucker at Williamsburg’s Maison Premiere. He then went on to work at Grand Army and the Standard Hotel. Inspired by Thomas Downing, Harney hopes to make eating oysters more of a pastime in the Black community.
