Chef Marquis Hayes

NYC & Orcas | 1919-Present

Chef Marquis Hayes is a culinary artist beyond the plate. Chef Marq is in the process of funding the first Black-owned Culinary Arts Institute inspired by his 400 Menu and The NY Times 1619 Project.
Most recently Feed the Soul Foundation selected Chef Marq to compose a menu and represent NYC during Black Restaurant Week in collaboration with ABC's For Life season premier. His culinary leadership skills were developed with the best in the business laying the ground work for him to open a farm to table restaurant, launch a premier butter line, as well as catered for too many A-listers to mention. As the world awaits his next venture, I am the lucky gourmand who was quarantined for 5 months with this master chef and continues to be first at the table to devour his next plate.
