Emeline Jones

New York | 1864

Jones was an in-demand chef known for her feasts at the Carlton Club in 1870s New York City. From Baltimore, her Chesapeake cooking style was in high demand. She cooked in various spots on the Eastern seaboard and trained many Black bakers and cooks from Baltimore and Philadelphia.
